9. Work, Duties and Powers of the Board :
(1) The work, duties and powers of the Board shall be as follows:-
(a) Regarding the policy, planning and investment of public institutions :
(1) To make recommendations to the Government of Nepal regarding the national and regional policies to be adopted by the Government of Nepal regarding the operation of public institutions,
(2) The government should invest more shares in public institutions or give loans or grants. If found, recommend to Nepal government for that,
(3) To recover the dividends and principal interest of loans for the share investment made by the Government of Nepal in public institutions and to recommend to the Government of Nepal for rescheduling such investment as required,
(4) To make recommendations to the Government of Nepal regarding the operation and management of public institutions
(5) Formulate and execute short-term, medium-term and long-term plans of each public institution,
(6) Analyzing investment plans and returns of public institutions. Analyzing aspects related to social responsibility and recommending to the Government of Nepal to formulate policies and action plans for restructuring, (2) operating public institutions under the concept of public-private partnership, merging, divesting, co-operative or to study and submit a detailed action plan to the Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal.
(4) After evaluating the effect of privatization of the institutions that have been privatized, giving necessary suggestions to the Government of Nepal,
